Staying at the Mayhew Inn in Grand Marais, where we've stayed several times previously. Would love to see some of you at one of those smaller summer get-togethers that have happened over the years. We've been living in the Eye of the Storm in South Mpls. just five blocks from the G. Floyd murder, a few blocks from the riots on Lake St., and across the street from the 500 homeless tent encampment in our 62 acre neighborhood park. Whew, it's been trying. Daily there are gunshots and weekly gun shootouts between warring gangs vying to control who sells drugs to the homeless addicts (maybe 1/3 addicts, 1/3 mentally ill, 1/3 prostitution/trafficking, and 1/3 mothers w. children needing legitimate shelter (never was a math whiz). We're taking a break before rejoining the rebuilding efforts. Anyone up for lunch on Friday, Aug. 10th @ 1:30? It's a long shot but we'll be on the deck at Angie's Cantina having a bite to eat on our way home.

Hi Gary.. Â I haven't heard anything at all about a picnic or any sort of get-together. Â This is our 55th year. Â But I'm thinking we will probably have to wait another year.
Gary A Mathisen - 07-24-2020
Anyone hosting a picnic for this summer, or is the pandemic doing real bad there? Maybe the end of August or early September if things get better??
Gary Mathisen - 10-21-2019
Haven't seen anyone chat lately. what is up with everyone - I know there are people out there that had lots of friends in school.

Hope there will be a get together this summer, I am all done with cancer treatments and my health is back to near normal.

I did not know about the 50th reunion. Sounds like it was a lot of fun.

Any one know if we are getting together this summer or fall, we always have such a good time when we do?

Brother Steve and I look forward to re-connecting with you all! Steve is still dragging his feet so I'm continuing to carry his weight and writing for him, too. I'm a late bloomer so have been experimenting with many things that most of you did when you were in high school or college...like WOW! (Okay, you guessed it...living in Colorado!) Steve, of course, is our precocious one so he 'ho-hums' as I regale him with my newfound wonderland.

Hi, I have lived in Mpls since HS graduation, except for 7 years in Juneau Alaska. I am a physical therapist and am still working in home care. I have 2 wonderful sons who live near me but no grandchildren yet. I have 3 cats. I was in a catholic monastery for a year in 1980 and now am very connected and involved with the Zen Buddhist community. I will be going to the 50th reunion and look forward to seeing y'all. In mid October I will be going to Japan (for the third time) to participate in 2 important Buddhist ceremonies and to tour some of the temples there. I will be there with 3 American Zen friends.
