O'Connor, Lee. Â Born 2/10/47. Â Died 5/28/06. Â Lee James O'Connor, 59, of Duluth's West End died after a courageous struggle with cancer. He was born to Tom and Elaine (Wiberg) O'Connor in Duluth. Lee was a 1965 graduate of Denfeld High School. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam with the 133rd Seabees Battalion as a Heavy equipment repair and maintenance supervisor. He would later serve as a field engineer and construction manager for CRS Sirrine Engineers, Inc. on numerous heavy industrial projects. Lee would return to Duluth in the mid 1990's where he would later drive school bus for the Proctor School District. He was an avid bowler and fisherman. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elaine (Wiberg) and Tom O'Connor. Lee is survived by his brother, Don Thomas O'Connor; and nephew, Mark O'Connor of Marietta, Ohio; a niece, Christine O'Connor of Orlando, Fla.; and a very special and dear companion, Carol Orlowski of Duluth.
