Nieman, Joel.  Born 8/24/47.  Died 3/31/05.  

Joel R. Nieman, 57, of Superior, died Thursday, March 31st, 2005, in his residence. He was born in Duluth to Ray and Alice Collins Nieman. He had graduated from Denfeld High School. Joel had worked as an IronWorker with Local #563 for 37 years, retiring in 2002. He had also been a member a member of the Army National Guard. Joel was preceded in death by his mother Alice Collins Nieman in 1959. He is survived by his parents Ray and Millie Nieman of Duluth, sons Tim Nieman of Duluth, and Jason (Kim) Nieman of Superior, daughters Samantha and Amanda Nieman both of Superior, a brother John (Gloria) Nieman of Culver, MN, sisters Laura West of Superior, Rosalie Tarnowski of Duluth, and Roberta (Gary) Johnson of White Bear Lake, MN., granddaughter's Isabella, and Elle-leigh Nieman, and numerous nieces and nephews.
