Steven N. Alvord, 20, of 31 S. 68th Ave. W., who was killed Sunday in a hunting accident in Burton Township, Aitkin County, was born in Duluth and was an office employee of Duluth Motors, Inc. He was a graduate of Denfeld High School, a member of the Bethany Methodist Church, the YMCA, and A Troop, 94th Cavalry, Minnesota National Guard. He also was a member of the Duluth City Recreational Softball League. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon L., Duluth; three brothers, Gordon M., Mariposa Calif.; Robert J., Minneapolis; and David N., Duluth; and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Matilda Alvord, Rochester.
