  Isabella (Liebaert), Cheryl.  Born 10/19/47.  Died 12/14/25
Cheryl J. Liebaert, 78, of Superior, WI was born in Duluth, MN. the daughter of Joseph and Shirley (Gustafson) Isabell.

Cheryl married Thomas “Butch” Liebaert on August 23, 1969, and they celebrated 56 years of marriage.

Cheryl was an active member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, the Phi Preceptor Epsilon Sorority, the Richard I. Bong American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post #435, United Commercial Traveler’s Auxiliary Council #333 where she served as President for 13 years. Cheryl joined UCT Council #333 when the Auxiliary turned in their charter. Cheryl served as Secretary on the state level for 20 years on the UCT State Council #90.

Cheryl enjoyed working with her hands doing woodworking, making lawn ornaments with her scroll saw to give as gifts to friends and family. She also enjoyed painting, rosemaling, and making wreaths.  She served as Leader of her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop for 5 years and coached her daughter’s softball team for 3 years in a row. One of her passions was being an active singer in the Saint Anthony’s Spirit Seekers Contemporary Guitar Group. Her family was most important to her; and was always very supportive of all Butch’s endeavors as well as her kids. Cheryl would always refer to herself as a “Domestic Goddess.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Shirley Isabell and her youngest brother, Robert Isabell.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Thomas “Butch” Liebaert and their three children, Brian Liebaert of Radisson, WI, Colleen (Steve) Berkner of Stolkholm, SD, and Craig (Judy Mead) Liebaert of Pine, CO; six grandchildren, McKenzie, Hunter, and Lenea Liebaert, Cody Liebaert, Emma Mead, and Parker Liebaert; two great grandchildren, Renesmee Machesney and Scarlett Broussard; two brothers, Jim (Cindy) Isabell and Jon Isabell; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday December 27, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 4315 E 3rd St. Superior. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Andrew P. Ricci as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Superior. A luncheon will follow burial services.
