Paavola (Buchan), LaVonne.  Born 11/5/47.  Died 9/5/09.  

LaVonne J. (Paavola) Buchan, 61, a resident of Woodridge, Ill., since 1973, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sept. 5, 2009.

She was born Nov. 5, 1947 in Duluth.

Lavonne taught third graders in Hickory Hills for several years before starting her family. After she raised her children, she returned to work as an administrative assistant at Airhart Construction, West Chicago. She lovingly created many crafts, especially baby blankets, and in turn donated them to various groups to help raise funds for their charities.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Paavola and her brother, Lance Paavola.

LaVonne is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, David; her sons, Robert (Teri Rosko) and James (Noemy) Buchan; her special grandchildren, Carley and Nickolas and the soon to be born, Gabriella Rose Buchan; her mother, Della Paavola; many nieces and nephews and a host of good friends.
